It is one of the governed members of the Kansas Board of Regents system, a state-funded educational institution, and a cornerstone of higher learning in the region. The urban campus of the university spreads over more than 330 acres, modern facilities mingling with vibrancy in campus community life. Known for its tight connection to the local industries of aviation, health, and engineering, WSU emphasizes innovation, applied learning, and workforce readiness, preparing students to thrive in a dynamic global economy.
Wichita State offers a broad portfolio of undergraduate and graduate programs through its seven colleges, which include the renowned W. Frank Barton School of Business, College of Engineering, and College of Health Professions.
