Scholarship Details
Western Kentucky University (WKU) provides several scholarships to international students, including Nepalese students. International undergraduate students are automatically considered for merit scholarships upon admission, such as the Academic Merit Awards and the Tuition Incentive Program International (TIPI) Scholarship. The scholarships are generally provided based on a student's high school GPA, and no additional application is needed. Nepali students are also considered for the International Merit Scholarship, which varies between $8,000 to $13,000 per year depending on GPA, and includes attendance at the WKU Pathways program during the first year. For graduate study, WKU awards the International Graduate Tuition Scholarship of approximately $4,220 per semester, and potential Graduate Assistantships with tuition remission and stipend. All incoming students are eligible to apply for further scholarships via WKU's TOP Dollar portal, and certain academic departments also provide their own scholarships. To qualify for most scholarships, applicants must try to have their admission applications submitted by May 1 for fall admission.
