The University of West London (UWL) is a public research university in the UK with campuses in Greater London, Reading and Ealing. The university has roots back to 1860, when the Lady Byron School was founded, which later became Ealing College of Higher Education.


University of West London offers undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs in various study areas including Business, Arts Biology, etc. University of West London has over 11,000 students with over 10% from outside the UK.

Scholarships Details

UWL offers a range of support to international students:

  • Full-time Undergraduate Bursary- If you are a first year undergraduate student paying Home fees, you may be eligible for one of our Full-time Undergraduate Bursaries.

  • International Ambassador Scholarship- If you are an international fee-paying student with an offer to study a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree with us, you are eligible to apply for one of our International Ambassador Scholarships. 

  • Path to Success Scholarship- If you are a Home fee region student starting a four or five-year full-time undergraduate degree course including a foundation year in September/October 2022 or January/February 2023, you are eligible to receive our Path to Success Scholarship. 

  • UWL Aspire Bursary-  Available to undergraduate students starting a course in academic year 22/23. The books and funds are provided to help you with your studying costs.The funds are provided as an Aspire account which can be accessed and used on the Aspire at UWL Engagement Portal.

  • AMO Scholarship- The AMO Scholarship is supported by Alumni and friends of UWL and is open to Home and International students pursuing a PhD who have not received the UWL Vice-Chancellor's PhD Scholarship.

  • GAMA Training Scholarship- GAMA has created this scholarship to support the training and development of future leaders of Infection Prevention & Control. Two scholarships are available, to pay the fees for the MSc Infection Prevention & Control at the University of West London. The course involves 3 years of part-time study and to apply for the scholarship you must check that you are eligible to undertake the course.  Applicants must be able to demonstrate their commitment to developing skills in critical thinking and driving improvement which are key components of this course.

  • Help to Achieve Scholarship- The Help to Achieve Scholarships are kindly supported by alumni and friends of the University of West London.The scholarships are open to full-time Home or International students pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course.

  • LGCHT Friends and Alumni ScholarshipThe 'Spike' Stent Scholarship is kindly supported by Spike Stent.The Scholarship is open to Level 6 (third year) full-time Home and International students pursuing an undergraduate degree course at the London College of Music.

  • The 'Spike' Stent Scholarship- The 'Spike' Stent Scholarship is kindly supported by Spike Stent.The Scholarship is open to Level 6 (third year) full-time Home and International students pursuing an undergraduate degree course at the London College of Music.

  • The Anne Naysmith Scholarship- The Anne Naysmith Scholarship is kindly supported by the Estate of Anne Naysmith.The scholarship is open to full-time Home and International students pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at the London College of Music.

  • The Cathie Wallace Scholarship- The Cathie Wallace scholarship is kindly supported by Professor Emerita Cathie Wallace.The scholarship is open to full-time Home or International students at the University of West London pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course.

  • The Chris Read Memorial Cup Prize- The Chris Read Memorial Cup Prize is kindly supported by the St. Thomas’ Hospital Catering Bursars Club. The prize is open to full-time Home and International students pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at the London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism.

  • The Geoffrey Harrison Foundation Scholarship in Hospitality Management- The Geoffrey Harrison Foundation Scholarship in Hospitality Management is kindly supported by the Geoffrey Harrison Foundation.The scholarship is open to full-time Home and International students that are in Level 5 (Year 2) of an undergraduate degree course in Hospitality Management. This is a two-year scholarship, worth £5,000 per year to one student (totalling £10,000 over two years).

  • The Ian Carter Scholarship- The Ian Carter Scholarships are kindly supported by alumnus, Ian Carter.The scholarships are open to full-time Home and International students pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at the Claude Littner Business School.

  • The Josette M. Billich Nursing Award-The Josette M. Billich Nursing Award is kindly supported by His Worship, Samuel Billich.The award is open to part-time/full-time Home and International students pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at the College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare.

  • The Laurence Llewellyn Scholarship- The Laurence Llewellyn Scholarship is kindly supported by the Estate of Laurence Llewellyn.The scholarship is open to full-time Home and International students pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate Composition degree course at the London College of Music.

  • The Michael Wilson Bursar- The Michael Wilson Bursary is kindly supported by Lynda Wilson and Ian Hill, and is open to current students at the London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism.The bursary is open to current Home and International students pursuing a Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts undergraduate degree course at the London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism.

  • The Mollie Clay Scholarships- The Mollie Clay Scholarships are kindly supported by the Syed Hamid Trust in memory of Mollie Clay.

  • The Mona Blackman Scholarship- The Mona Blackman Scholarships are kindly supported by the Estate of  Mona Blackman.The scholarships are open to full-time Home and International students pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate Music Performance (piano major) degree course at the London College of Music.

  • The PM Trust Scholarship- The PM Trust Scholarship is kindly supported by The PM Trust. The scholarship is open to full-time Home and International students pursuing an undergraduate degree course in Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts at the London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism.

  • The Sunil Pranlal Sheth Scholarships- The Sunil Pranlal Sheth Scholarship is kindly supported by alumnus, Sunil Sheth.The scholarship is open to full-time Home and International students pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate course at the School of Law.

  • The Syed Hamid Scholarships- The William Brake Scholarships are kindly supported by The William Brake Charitable Trust.The scholarships are open to full-time Home and International students pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at the London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism.
