University of Waterloo is a public university that was established in 1959 and is located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The Waterloo Lutheran Seminary, which had been associated with the University of Western Ontario since 1925 and is now Wilfrid Laurier University, was the academic origin of Waterloo College, which is now the University of Waterloo. U of W occupies 900 acres of land which is built for both academic and non-academic purposes.

Scholarship Details

 University of Waterloo International Student Entrance Scholarship:

  • Each year, 20 scholarships worth $10,000 each are given to deserving international students who are accepted into the first year of an undergraduate program.

  • All admitted international students with an admissions average of 90% or higher will be taken into consideration.

  • A scholarship recipient will be chosen based on academic accomplishment and any additional faculty-specific admission scholarship requirements.

University of Waterloo Graduate Scholarship:

  • Normally, this award is worth $1,000 every term for up to three terms.

  • It is given to graduate students at the University of Waterloo who are enrolled full-time in a PhD or master's program.

  • Note that to be eligible, students must be within their graduate program's time restrictions and have a cumulative grade point average of at least first-class (80%) in their current program or over the previous two full academic years.
