Eligible international undergraduate students by the priority deadline are automatically reviewed for merit scholarships like the Green & Gold Presidential, Directors, Scholars, and Talent Waivers, which exempt considerable out-of-state tuition fees. The USF International Student Scholarship also goes to first-time college students and is given on the basis of merit with no specified application. Graduate students receive Graduate Assistantships and Fellowships from USF that include tuition waivers and stipends, with assistantships generally demanding teaching or research effort in return, but fellowships offering funds without such expectation.
