It is a comprehensive, mid-sized institution with its origins in Regina College, a small residential high school founded by the Methodist faith in 1911. U of R occupies 239 acres of land which is built for both academic and non-academic purposes.

Scholarship Details

University of Regina International Entrance Scholarship

  • This scholarship is worth up to CAD 200,000 each year. Undergraduate applicants with a study permit are automatically given CAD 3,000. They might choose to receive this amount as tuition reimbursement or as eight months of free university housing. This grant is available to students who apply directly from secondary school (or equivalent) to a direct-entry undergraduate program. Furthermore, students must have an early-conditional admission average of 85 percent or better and be enrolled in nine credit hours during the semester in which the award is granted.

UR Circle of Scholars Entrance Scholarship

  • It is given annually to the top three students in three distinct regions throughout the world. Students who achieve these requirements each year will receive CAD 5,000 per year for up to four years. Furthermore, during the Circle of Scholars event each year, these students are invited to meet with the President of the University of Regina. This grant is automatically available to undergraduate applicants enrolled in the Fall Intake.
