The University of Plymouth is a public research university located primarily in Plymouth, England. It was established in 1862 as the School of Navigation and now the University of Plymouth is the UK’s 15th largest university. It is ranked 86th as leading university globally for its excellence in the field of education and 2nd in the UK by the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings. With world-class research and a reputation for innovation in its approach to teaching and learning, it has won the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education not once but thrice, most recently in 2019 for marine micro plastics pollution research.
