The University of New Haven is a private, nonprofit, nonsectarian institution founded in 1920. Scholarships Detail
Automatically, every student will be considered for a merit-based scholarship ranging from 15,000-32,000 dollars per academic year depending on high school performance. This scholarship is guaranteed for the first year and renewable annually as long as the student maintains full-time undergraduate status with a minimum GPA specified herein. The scholarship may be renewed for up to ten semesters and shall apply only to tuition.
University Accreditation/ Recognition
The University is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education, a distinction it has had since 1948, which gives a high assurance of academic quality and success of students. This institutional accreditation guarantees that the University maintains the expectations for quality and integrity of the educational programs offered.
Beyond its major accreditation, the University has received specialized program accreditations including ABET for Engineering and Computer Science, the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics for Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education for Occupational Therapy. The Chemistry program is accredited by the American Chemical Society, while Pompea College of Business boasts AACSB accreditation-a distinction less than a small percentage of global business schools have achieved.
