The University of Indianapolis (UIndy) is a private United Methodist Church-affiliated university in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was established in 1902 and was popularly known as Indiana Central College from 1921 to 1975. The name was later changed to University of Indianapolis in 1986. It is renowned for high-quality programs and education and is listed among the top 10% of U.S. institutions considered national universities.
University of Indianapolis offers 100+ undergraduate degree programs, 40+ master's degree programs, and five doctoral programs. It offers the largest programs in occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, business, education, and communication. It produces more physical therapists, occupational therapists, and clinical psychologists than any other university in the state and offers the state's only neonatal nurse practitioner program. UIndy is a diverse university with students coming from 40 + U.S states and having 33% international students from over 55 different nations. The UIndy campus offers various facilities including on-campus accommodation, attractive classrooms, halls, Christel DeHaan Fine Arts center, computer labs, Krannert Memorial library, Lilly Science hall, eateries, sports, and recreational facilities. It has various clubs and organizations that run activities like dancing, rugby, science activities etc for the development of the students. Some of the well known clubs and organizations are Athletic Student Training Association, CaLUB, Show Choir, Janus Club and Art Therapy Student Organization.
