International merits based Scholarships for graduates and undergraduates Students
The University of Chester provides merit-based scholarships for international undergraduates and postgraduates, offering tuition fee reductions between £1,000 and £3,000 based on strong academic performance. These scholarships are generally awarded automatically during the application process without needing a separate application. Although specific GPA criteria aren't detailed, applicants with academic achievements comparable to a UK 2:1 degree (approximately 3.3–3.7 GPA) are typically considered. The scholarships are intended for self-funded students and exclude certain programs like the MBA, Art Therapy, and some two-year MSc courses. Additionally, the university offers a tuition fee discount for graduates advancing from a Bachelor’s to a full-priced taught Master’s course starting between September 2025 and May 2026. This discount applies only to those who earned their Bachelor’s from Chester or its associate colleges and haven't previously received a similar benefit. It excludes those with prior Master’s degrees, foundation degrees, specific courses, research degrees, and two-year Master’s programs. Students must self-fund, pay fees on time, and cannot combine this discount with other offers.
