Scholarship Details
International merits based Scholarships for graduates and undergraduates Students
The Tickell Scholarship at the Australian National University (ANU) is a highly competitive and generous award designed to support exceptional Australian students starting their undergraduate studies. It provides $26,750 per year (2025 rate, with annual increases) to help cover accommodation, books, and everyday living costs, along with a one-time $1,500 relocation grant. Additional benefits include travel funding for two annual return trips between the student’s home and ANU, financial assistance for parents to attend Commencement Weekend, and free membership to the ANU Sports Centre. The program also emphasizes leadership development through workshops, seminars, mentorship, and networking opportunities, with Scholars gaining access to the dedicated Scholars House—an academic and social hub on campus. To be eligible, students must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or humanitarian visa holders, completing Year 12 in Australia in 2025, aged 17–19 by February 2026, and predicted to achieve an ATAR of 95 or above (or 90+ under the Educational Access Scheme). They must also have completed at least one English and one Math's subject in Year 11 or 12. While a specific GPA isn't required to maintain the scholarship, Scholars are expected to maintain strong academic performance and remain active in the program. Final-stage applicants not selected for the Tickell Scholarship may be offered the ANU All-Rounder Scholarship, which requires maintaining a GPA of at least 4.0 each semester.
