Scholarship Details

International Merits Based Scholarship For Undergraduate

Southern Illinois University Carbondale offers several merit-based scholarships for international undergraduates. The High Achievers Alternate Tuition Rate (ATR) provides in-state tuition for students with an ACT of 26+ or SAT of 1240+, or a 3.0 GPA for transfers. The University Excellence Scholarship awards $5,500 per year for students with a GPA of 3.8+ or a 3.5 GPA with strong test scores. Saluki Merit Scholarships offer awards from $1,500 to $3,500 based on GPA. Competitive scholarships like the Chancellor’s (full tuition, housing, and meals) and Provost’s (two years of tuition) are available for top students. Additional donor-funded scholarships are available through the Saluki Scholarship Portal, with varying criteria. Most scholarships are automatically considered with admission.
