Dakota State University (DSU), established on March 5, 1881, is a public university located in Madison, South Dakota, United States. It started as a normal school for teacher education but has evolved over time into a comprehensive university. The university is a member of the Space-grant program and is regulated by the South Dakota Board of Regents.
