Simon Fraser University (SFU) was founded in 1965 with a distinct west coast spirit. Simon Fraser University (SFU) is a public research university in British Columbia, Canada, with three campuses, all in Greater Vancouver :Burnaby (main campus), Surrey, and Vancouver. The 170-hectare (420-acre) main Burnaby campus on Burnaby Mountain, located 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from downtown Vancouver.

Simon Fraser University offers 363 undergraduate and 149 postgraduate courses through its 8 faculties. 


With three campuses, over 30,000 undergraduate students, 5,700 graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.  it is consistently ranked among the top 500 universities in the world and has claimed the rank #318 in QS World University Rankings 2024. 


SFU ranks as Canada’s top comprehensive university by Maclean’s  and among the world’s top 50 universities for its commitment to sustainability, according to Times Higher Education’s (THE) 2021 University Impact Rankings.  The rankings place SFU in the top 10 for three SDGs: climate action (SDG 13); sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11); and peace, justice and strong institutions (SDG 16).

SFU has eight faculties that deliver 193 undergraduate degree programs and 127 graduate degree programs to more than 35,000 students, including 7900 international students.

McCall MacBain Scholarships

If you are an undergrad going into a Masters, you may wish to check out this program. Announced in 2019, the McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill are Canada’s first comprehensive, leadership-driven scholarships for master’s and professional degree students.

The McCall MacBain Scholarship covers:

Tuition and fees for an eligible master’s or professional program

A living stipend of $2,000 per month during academic terms

A comprehensive enrichment program including mentorship, interdisciplinary learning, and access to a global community

We are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and have received the EQUIS Quality award from the European Federation for Management Development (EFMD).
