About

Midway University, established in 1847, is a private university headquartered in Midway, Kentucky. When first established, the school was known as the Kentucky Female Orphan School and has a very rich history in educating students. Today, Midway is a co-educational institution serving all genders while continuing its very strong tradition of supporting women in education. The university is situated on a picturesque 200-acre campus in Central Kentucky, offering a tranquil and picturesque setting.
With an enrollment of approximately 2,000 students, Midway University offers small class sizes and personal faculty interactions that provide students with a uniquely personalized education. It offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, with some of the more common areas of study including nursing, business, education, and equine science. Midway is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
