Scholarship Details

International Merit Scholarship for Undergraduate

International undergraduate students attending McMurry University may be qualified for merit scholarships ranging from $15,000 to $17,000 based on secondary school GPA, test scores, and transferable college GPA. They are renewable for four consecutive years and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis when admitted. Post-baccalaureate students are not eligible for these scholarships. Additionally, students may apply for the McMurry University Honors program, which may offer extra funding, with the application being submitted after being admitted.

University Accreditation/recognition

McMurry University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC) to confer associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Its Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing is fully approved by the Texas Board of Nursing to allow graduates to take the NCLEX-RN exam, and its nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The Texas Education Agency, led by the commissioner of education, oversees and supports primary and secondary public education in Texas.
