London South Bank University (LSBU) is a public university that was established in 1892 as the Borough Polytechnic Institute. It acquired university status in 1992 and its name was revised to the present in 2003. The university is located in the area of Southwark, in inner London's Elephant & Castle region, close to the South Bank of the River Thames. As a state-funded university, LSBU boasts numerous new modern urban campus buildings named after it, including the Keyworth Centre, K2 building, Elephant Studios, the Student Centre, and the Enterprise Centre—all paving the way for an energetic and inclusive learning environment.
