Scholarship Details

Trustee Scholarship

A limited number of incoming freshmen can earn a prestigious full-tuition scholarship through an application and interview process. Eligibility requires a minimum ACT score of 30, SAT score of 1360, or CLT score of 97 (including superscores), along with a high school GPA of 3.5 or higher (weighted GPAs accepted). Recipients must live on campus, maintain a 3.25 GPA, and cannot combine this scholarship with other institutional aid. Test-optional applicants must provide official test scores to qualify.

University Accreditation/ Recognition
Lipscomb University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, master's, education specialist, and doctoral degrees. Institutional accreditation by SACSCOC ensures the institution meets rigorous standards for quality and integrity in all academic programs.

While the university has institutional accreditation, many programs are specially accredited or approved by the respective discipline-based accrediting agencies. The range from simple and basic to elaborate: Chemistry, accredited with the American Chemical Society; and Business programs, separately and respectively recognized by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. Other accredited programs are Computer Science (Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET); Day Care Program (National Academy of Early Childhood Programs), Education (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, CAEP and Tennessee State Board of Education, TNSBE); Nursing (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, ACEN) and the Department of Psychology, Counseling and Family Science, approved as a Center of Play Therapy Education by the Association for Play Therapy.
