City University of Seattle (CityU) is a private university in Seattle, Washington. City University was founded in 1973 as City College by a group of business leaders and educators in the Seattle area led by Michael A. Pastore with an original mission dedicated to providing higher education for working adults. In 1982, City College changed its name to City University of Seattle.


 City University of Seattleā€™s student body consists of more than 7,200 students with a total of about 850 international students. The students come from more than 60 countries which shows that the university has a diverse student body



The City University of Seattle, Known as CityU, is an accredited non-profit university. It caters to working adults and transfer students by providing them convenient and efficient global education and educational facilities. Flexible programs are offered and curriculum is taught by professional leaders in their concerned area of expertise.


The university enrolls 41% undergraduate students, 40% graduate, 4% doctorate, and 15% non-degree seeking students. Some Masters at City University of Seattle require work experience otherwise the admission criteria is generally based on academic transcripts, ELP scores and supporting documents like SOP and letters of recommendation for the teachers or counselors.
