One notable opportunity is the Global Ambassador Scholarship, which provides recipients with free on-campus housing for up to eight academic semesters. The estimated value of this scholarship is approximately $14,000 over four years. This competitive award is exclusively available to international students and considers factors such as a personal essay, GPA, test scores, and extracurricular activities. To be eligible, students must be admitted to BHSU and submit their final official transcripts.
Additionally, BHSU's Scholarships of Distinction program offers merit-based scholarships of up to $4,000 per year to new qualifying students. These scholarships are based on unweighted high school GPA, ACT/SAT scores, or a combination of both. While no separate application is required, students are encouraged to apply for admission before February 1 for full consideration
International students must demonstrate their ability to fund their degree program to obtain a U.S. visa. Scholarships are awarded only after a student has been accepted to BHSU and has submitted a Statement of Finances. As part of the scholarship application process, students are required to write an essay explaining why they should be considered for a scholarship.
