Anderson University is a private Christian university that was established in 1848 and is located in Anderson, South Carolina. Anderson College was renamed Anderson University in 2006. In more than 100 fields of study, it grants bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. The university occupies 305 acres of land, built for both academic and non-academic purposes.

Anderson University provides more than 50 undergraduate majors, as well as a number of graduate degrees in a range of disciplines like theology, business, nursing, music, and education. It has received accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission and other reputable bodies.

More than 70 student organizations, including academic, social, and service clubs, contribute to the university's active campus life. Additionally, it provides a range of athletic programs, 20 NCAA Division III sports teams among them. Anderson University provides students with a rigorous and engaging learning experience that emphasizes the knowledge, intellectual skills, and conceptual frameworks central to each discipline.
