Hofstra University is a private university that was established in 1935 and is located in Hempstead in New York. It was established as an extension of New York University but became independent in the year 1939. It began to be recognized as a university in 1963. Hofstra University occupies 244 acres of land, built for both academic and non-academic purposes.
