Canada is recognized for its quality education at all levels. Canada’s provincial and territorial governments are responsible for education. They follow government standards to ensure high-quality education across the country.  Canada invests a lot of money in its educational system. According to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Canada is among the top three nations in the world for spending per capita on public post-secondary education and one of the best performers in the world in terms of education overall. The post-secondary education system in Canada is divided into Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor’s, Post Graduate Diploma, Master’s and PhD. Postgraduate Diploma is a one-to-two-year program that offers undergraduate students hands-on experience to help them get ready for work. In Canada, you can pursue a postgraduate diploma course, known as a Graduate Diploma only after completing a bachelor’s degree program. Postgraduate diploma provides an advanced education for those looking to advance their knowledge and professional abilities in a particular field. Numerous Canadian institutions provide a variety of Postgraduate diplomas in fields like Business Analytics, Information Technology, Accounting, Marketing, HR Management, and Finance, to name a few. Most colleges or universities in Canada can enroll for the courses in any of the three intakes – Summer, Winter and Fall intakes. The Postgraduate Diploma program consists of two types, the one-year and the two-year programs.

  1. One-Year Post Graduate Diploma

The one-year diploma in Canada has 2 to 3 semesters. These Postgraduate diploma courses provide you with numerous essential skills and increase the chances of great employability in your chosen field. It costs you anywhere between CAD 12,000 to CAD 19,000. After you pursue this diploma, you will only get a chance of getting a year of Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

  1. Two- Year Post Graduate Diploma

The two-year diploma in Canada has 4 to 6 semesters. The costs of a two-year postgraduate diploma vary by institution. Students who complete the PG Diploma automatically qualify for a three-year Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). International students are more likely to pursue a two-year postgraduate diploma than one year.
