Securing a visa to the UK involves good preparation. The students need to make sure that they meet all the terms and conditions of UKVI and university. These are a few tips that can help increase a student's chances of visa acceptance.

  1. Clear Purpose of Visa

Students need to clearly outline that they are traveling for higher education, having genuine documents can be proof that students are traveling for studies. Students should have an offer letter from university, CAS and financial documents in order to receive their visa.

  1. Financial Stability

While applying for the UK for further education, students should also have financial documents which will cover their living expenses. The financial documents include either a 28-day bank statement or education loan of 30 to 35 lakhs, depending on the city. As living expenses are higher inside London.

  1. Return to Home Country

It is mandatory to prove that students will return to their home country after completion of their course. They have to mention it either in their SOP or credibility interview conducted by the university. Students can mention family, property ownership and employment as a reason to come back.

  1. Previous Travel History

Having a visa rejection for the UK previously may impact the chances of getting a visa during a 2nd attempt while pursuing higher education. But having a visa rejection from other countries like the USA, Canada, Japan, and India, will not impact the visa success rate for the UK.

  1. English Language Proficiency

It is necessary to provide documents of English language proficiency by attending tests like IELTS, PTE-A or Duolingo. Ensuring that the students meet the minimum score required by the university. There are few universities in the UK who provide an English waiver or MOI where students don’t need to go for ELT.

  1. Health and Insurance Policies

To get the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK, students need to pay the NHS along with visa application. NHS payment is one of the mandatory steps. The insurance payment is £776 pounds for a year. As per their course duration they need to pay the insurance amount.
